Nexamp completes 7.5-MW New York community solar project

Nexamp, a solar energy provider, along with the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 29 to celebrate the completion of Nexamp’s first community solar project in New York. The event will be held on Millard Hill Road near the intersection of Puhalka Road in Newfield at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a tour of the solar farm. Nexamp CEO Zaid Ashai will be joined by local officials to commemorate the completion of the 7.5-MW solar array, a big step toward achieving the state’s goal of 50 percent renewable energy by 2030.
