Shell to get 100 MW of wind under new California PPA

Shell Energy North America US LP has agreed to buy up to 100 MW of electricity from a California wind project being developed by Terra-Gen LLC. Shell said on Thursday it has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Coachella Hills Wind LLC for the project with the same name. The scheme, located in Palm Springs, is a repowering of the existing Coachella Flats and Painted Hills wind farms. The repowering of the facilities is expected to be completed on December 1, 2020.
