DuPont today announced that it has signed a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC with a generation capacity of the equivalent of 135 megawatts of new wind energy in Texas. The Mississippi Delta will soon be home to the largest utility-owned solar farm in the state, after receiving approval from the Mississippi Public Service Commission. Recurrent Energy will build the 100-MW project on behalf of Entergy Mississippi. The project should be complete by no later than mid-2022.
