Anheuser-Busch on track to hit renewable energy goal by 2021

Anheuser-Busch has announced that its entire portfolio of domestic beer brands in the US will be brewed with 100% renewable electricity from solar and wind power by 2021. Through a solar power purchase agreement with Recurrent Energy, the AB InBev subsidiary will purchase the renewable electricity credits from the energy delivered to the grid by a new solar energy facility being built in Pecos County, Texas. According to the brewer, the solar project marks the largest of its kind for any US beverage company and sees it reach its 100% renewable electricity target in the US four years ahead of its 2025 goal. The new solar energy facility will be fully operational by 2021 and is expected to generate 650-gigawatt hours of energy annually, allowing for the brewing of brands such as Bud Light, Michelob Ultra and Busch by 100% renewable electricity. EDP Renewables, Facebook, and Salt River Project's Partnership Brings a New Solar Park to Arizona

EDP Renewables SA (EDPR), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC (EDPR NA), and Salt River Project (SRP) have executed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for 200 megawatts (MW) at the Randolph Solar Park in Pinal County, located in south-central Arizona. This announcement expands on the communication issued on July 27, 2021. The 200-MW Randolph Solar Park is expected to be operational in 2023 and will provide economic benefits to the local project communities and state of Arizona by way of payments to local landowners and governments, job opportunities during construction and operations, and an increase in money spent at local businesses in the vicinity of the solar park. Randolph will also generate enough electricity to annually power more than 49,000 average Arizona homes and will save approximately 355 million gallons of water a year. SRP’s investment in the Randolph Solar Park is part of the utility’s expanded commitment to add 2,025 MW of utility-scale solar resources to its power system by 2025 and serve customer energy needs with renewable energy. Solar Flexrack Mounting Solution Used In Utah's Largest Landfill Solar Project

This is Solar FlexRack's first project in Utah, and it is planned to generate enough sustainable energy to power roughly 3,000 households by summer 2021. Over the last five years, the number of landfill solar projects created in the United States has increased by over 80%. However, most landfills that have been converted to solar do not allow penetration into the site's land surface since mounting and foundation technology must be adaptive, durable, and lightweight in order to meet all site restrictions. The Series B CIP mounting technique from Solar FlexRack was chosen for this project owing to its innovative design, which includes adjustable blocks as well as a two-support system that minimises block thickness.
