DSM boosts green energy efforts with US solar facility expansion

DSM has tripled the solar output of its facility in Belvidere, New Jersey, as it moves one step closer to sourcing 100% renewable energy for its global operations. The on-site solar generation facility is comprised of more than 62,000 solar panels and is estimated to produce 25 million kWh of renewable electricity annually. At peak production, the maximum output of the unit will exceed the site’s peak consumption, with the excess solar power being sent to the power grid during those times. Netherlands-headquartered DSM partnered with GeoPeak Energy to develop, engineer and construct the expansion.
