Enel Green Power begins windfarm construction in North Dakota

Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA), a subsidiary of Italian multinational energy company Enel, has started construction works of the 299MW Aurora windfarm in the state of North Dakota, US. The project involves an investment of $450m and is expected to generate nearly 1.3TWh of clean energy annually upon completion. It is slated for completion by the end of 2020. Aurora windfarm will have the capacity to offset nearly 850,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Enel Green Power North America CEO Antonio Cammisecra said: “The construction of Aurora demonstrates Enel Green Power’s strength as an integrated developer-builder-operator in North America, expanding our presence in key regions and providing flexible solutions tailored to help commercial customers achieve their sustainability goals
