WV continues shifting toward natural gas power
As time goes on and the natural gas industry continues to develop, it is also starting to play a role in power generation alongside West Virginia’s traditional source of coal.Jeff Keffer, president and CEO of Longview Power, brought this up while addressing the 2019 spring meeting of the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association. He noted the oddity of a coal power plant executive speaking at a natural gas conference, but said Longview is now in the business of energy conversion rather than just coal-fired electricity generation.
