California Outshines Other States In Solar Power

California passed a climate bill requiring 50 percent of each utility's retail sales to come from renewable energy by 2050. The state is well on its way to achieving that goal with solar power in particular experiencing a boom. California now outshines all other states in solar, boasting 13,241 megawatts of cumulative installed solar capacity, enough to power 3.3 million homes.

Principle Power is a technology developer focused on the deep-water (greater than 40m) offshore wind energy market. Principle Power's enabling product, a floating wind turbine foundation called WindFloat, provides for siting of offshore wind turbines independent of water depth, thus exploiting the world's highest capacity wind resources. Deep-water offshore wind installations, to date, have not been feasible due to economic and technological limitations.
