Geothermal energy is heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable. Resources of geothermal energy range from the shallow ground to hot water and hot rock accessed by drilling wells up to thousands of feet beneath the Earth's surface. The extremely high temperatures in the deeper geotherrnal reservoirs are used for the generation of electricity.
