Tracking Towards 2020: Encouraging Renewable Energy

The Clean Energy Regulator today released Tracking towards 2020: encouraging renewable energy in Australia. The 2016 Renewable Energy Target Administrative Report provides an overview of the operations of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 in 2016. The report also includes the annual statement on progress toward the 2020 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target, which finds the target is still achievable provided the momentum in investment observed towards the end of 2016 continues in 2017.
