Cabling and connectors in PV systems are often overlooked but they remain important in understanding the root cause of production and safety issues. Data from the BRE National Solar Centre (UK) actually suggests that a main cause of Photovoltaics-induced fire is DC connectors, crimped on site. In this webinar we will get in to depth with understanding PV connectivity issues that leads to safety hazards, fire risk and energy loss. Further we will cover how PV system faults evolve and oscillates between Riso/grounding fault, circuit disconnects, electrical arcing and shutdown.
