Local Entrepreneur Offer Affordable, Solar-Powered Steel Housing in Florida

A local business owner sold his latest project, a waterproof, windproof, fireproof and insectproof steel house to a construction employee in Collier County. This innovative home made from mostly recycled steel is solar-powered, can withstand category 5 hurricances. But even more importantly, it costs less than the county median. Jim Henderson, owner of William C. Huff Cos, is a longtime businessman in moving and storage from East Naples, Collier County, Florida. His latest project is a more affordable and environmentally friendly, 1500 square feet (46 m²) single family home. The three bedrooms-two bathrooms house with storm-resistant windows took a year to build from mostly pre-engineered, pre-insulated steel panels (no trusses) with little waste.
