Floating offshore wind technology is becoming crucial to meet growing state commitments in the United States, especially in areas with deep waters. The commercial opportunity for the U.S. is huge, though there are many barriers related to the delivery of power to American homes such as the cable routing and geographic constraints, limited points of grid interconnection, and reduced transmission capacity on land.
