North American Wind Energy Academy/WindTech 2023 Conference

energy
This year, the conference will focus on a future where high levels of wind energy deployment meet the needs of a grid dominated by renewable energy and feature the latest research to integrate wind energy with solar power, energy storage, and other energy sources into the complex and highly interdependent energy system of the future. The event will also address the social and environmental issues at the core of such an expansion and include the "grand challenges" of wind energy. Subscribe to get conference updates.

Accelerating the Transition to Sustainable Infrastructure 2024

January 15, 2024 | Switzerland

Corporate leaders face mounting pressure from investors, customers and regulators to decarbonise operations, assets and infrastructure. However, progress is slow; according to the Infrastructure Transition Monitor research, commissioned by Siemens and conducted by FT Longitude, only 30% of companies globally (out of 1,400 surveyed) reported significant advances in decarbonisation or electrification of core processes, and just 37% cited improvements in the energy efficiency of their buildings and facilities. Given that buildings alone contribute nearly 40% of energy-related carbon emissions, there is a large gap to be filled on the road to net zero. Economic crises and budget constraints, as well as a lack of standardisation and alignment on priorities, are challenging efforts to bring about swift and meaningful change. Innovation and collaboration are required to accelerate electrification and to ensure that infrastructure across grids, buildings and transportation is efficient and resilient enough to meet sustainable goals. This reception and panel on Accelerating the Transition to Sustainable Infrastructure, hosted by the Financial Times, in partnership with Siemens, will bring together leaders who are working to bridge gaps in decarbonisation. The discussion will consider the technologies, cooperation and alignment needed on the path to net zero to advance efficiency gains and speed up electrification across corporate and industrial infrastructure.

Advances in Rotor Blades for Wind Turbines 2024

February 26-28, 2024 | Germany

Rotor blades are decisive in the race for lower cost of energy, and the last years have witnessed drastic progress in structural design and manufacturing. While the industry is growing more and more mature, there is still room for innovation. Efficient ways to optimise LCoE throughout the blade lifetime will be discussed. The conference aims to help the industry to improve design, production and materials to maximise power at minimum cost. Mastering the Horizon: Unveiling the Path to Design mastery, Operational Excellence and Manufacturing Efficiency for Ultra-Long Blades. Pioneering Pathways: Optimal Design and Manufacturing Efficiency for Ultra-Long XXL Blades, Enabling Europe’s Vision for 1,100GW Energy Milestone. Innovating with Ultra-High Modulus Glass Fibers: Harnessing the Power of Advanced Materials to Shape the Future of On- and Offshore Rotor Blade Designs, Aligning Long-Term Profitability, Sustainability, and Availability. Strategic Financial Edge: Empowering Operational Expenditure Optimization for Maximum Return, Effectively Reducing Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and Streamlining Construction Costs. Revolutionizing Certification Standards: Redefining Material Safety Factors in Accordance with IEC 61400-5, Incorporating Novel Test Concepts to Catalyze Rotor Blade Certification Processes. Navigating Challenges Ahead: An In-Depth Exploration of Obstacles and Opportunities, Guiding Industry Leaders to Navigate Efficiently Through the Complex Landscape of Ultra-Long XXL Blade Design and Manufacturing. Elevating Energy Production: Maximizing Output and Efficiency to Propel Wind Energy Generation to New Heights, Contributing to a Sustainable and Thriving Energy Future.

Green Hydrogen Summit North America

February 28-29, 2024 | USA

Green hydrogen is currently enjoying unprecedented political and commercial momentum, with the number of policies and projects expanding rapidly over the last 12 months. The launch of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs program includes up to $7 billion to establish hubs across America, but key questions remain; how do we produce clean hydrogen at the volumes needed to support this burgeoning ecosystem, at comparable prices to gray or blue Hydrogen? And who are the potential users of green hydrogen? To answer these questions and more, the Green Hydrogen Summit North America is coming to Seattle as the premier event to inspire and educate delegates on how to take advantage of the opportunities green hydrogen will offer financially and environmentally, and to provide the connections to make projects possible. Seattle is the perfect location for those looking to take advantage of the burgeoning hydrogen economy, with the North West Hydrogen Hub being moved onto the next round, this will add significant momentum to the hydrogen in the region. Our unique audience includes potential industrial hydrogen users, energy suppliers, project developers, debt providers and investors, utilities, gas TSOs and government officials. The event goes beyond simply focusing on hydrogen and explores the role of other derivatives and P2X applications; biofuels, e-fuels, and green ammonia all have their part to play in the transition to decarbonization. Don’t miss out on the definitive event to capture the financial and environmental opportunities of Green Hydrogen, and beyond.
