SUSTAINABLE SOLAR EUROPE
Join the solar community for a 360° perspective on solar sustainability Intersolar Europe and SolarPower Europe have joined forces to establish a crucial forum to explore, discuss, and address the key sustainability challenges and opportunities facing solar.

Spotlight

Solar power plants have taken their place alongside coal, natural gas, nuclear, and wind as legitimate and valuable generation resources. Solar comprised 29.4% of new electric generating capacity in the U.S. in 2015, exceeding the total for natural gas for the first time.1 The acceptance of solar by utilities has happened seemingly overnight, moving from an annual utility-scale installed capacity of 1.8 GW in 2012 to 4.2 GW in 2015.

Digital Energy Conference

October 18, 2022 | Germany

Energy transition, sector coupling as well as modern technologies and innovative ideas are presenting our energy system with new challenges: While more and more energy comes from volatile and decentralized sources, the networking of producers and consumers is increasing and the heating and transport sectors are increasingly being electrified, the risk of blackouts is also increasing and cyber attacks. Digital and intelligent technologies offer solutions and open up new business areas. At the Digital Energy Conference on November 30, 2021, you received valuable insights into the topics that are currently affecting the energy sector: From the digitization of the distribution grids, the smart meter rollout and new solutions for energy efficiency to IT security and the resilience of energy systems, platform and cloud models and risk and forecast management to virtual power plants and intelligent storage solutions. A stable, secure and sustainable energy supply is becoming more and more important, not only because of action alliances such as Fridays for Future and the ubiquitous debate on climate protection. They had the opportunity to discuss an intelligent energy infrastructure and new market solutions with experts from the energy industry and politics as well as with technology-driven start-ups, corporates and investors. You could also see first-hand how digital technologies will shape the energy system of the future.
