Arizona not-for-profit public utility Salt River Project (SRP) last week unveiled plans to add 1 GW of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity to its network by end-2025 amid rising customer demand for clean power. As part of the plan, the utility intends to deploy about 200 MW of solar capacity each year. “This proposal represents a growing commitment to sustainability that is both reliable and affordable,” said its CEO and general manager Mike Hummel.
