S.C. Government Applauds Newly Planned Solar Development

Coronal Energy, an independent solar power, and energy storage provider have announced plans for the construction of a new solar project, the Rankin Solar Center, in Florence County, S.C. The new development is projected to bring approximately $15 million of capital investment, according to the South Carolina Department of Commerce. The Rankin Solar Center will generate 10 MW of energy, enough to power approximately 2,000 homes annually. Located off Corrie Farm Rd. in Florence, the new development is expected to come online in the fourth quarter of 2019.
