Sunpin Solar developing 30-MW PV project in Illinois

The city of Greenville, Illinois, has signed an option and lease agreement California solar developer Sunpin Solar for the community’s first solar project. The solar site, directly north of I-70, is approximately 70 miles south of Springfield, Illinois. This 150-acre site will host an approximate 30-40 MW solar system with an estimated annual production of up to 60 million kWh. The total annual production could power as many as 6,600 homes.
