In line with the sustainability and energy transition visions, the MENA region is set to become a global leader of power diversification and conservation. With new power plants and projects, the region is striving to meet its growing energy demands caused by urban and industrial expansion.The overall investment in the MENA power sector is expected to reach USD250 billion, characterized by an accelerating shift towards renewables and clean energy resources. The region is expected to add nearly 20 GW of solar power plants only over the next five years – MENA Energy Outlook 2021-2025, APICORP.
