POWERING PROGRESS: STATES RENEWABLE ENERGY RACE

Every year the Climate Council tracks the relative progress of Australian states and territories based on their performance across a range of renewable energy metrics: percentage of renewable electricity; a proportion of households with solar; large-scale wind and solar capacity per capita; and targets or policies in place for renewable energy. This report is the Climate Council’s fourth scorecard evaluating state and territory progress on renewable energy.

Since 2009 Green Development (formerly “Wind Energy Development, LLC”) has developed renewable energy solutions across Rhode Island. We work with communities, public entities, not for profits, landowners, and farmers to plan and construct wind turbines and solar energy systems that deliver reliable and inexpensive power. We have 26 MW of solar and wind under operation and will be over 50 MW by year-end 2018. We expect to deploy more than 150 MW of solar and wind over the next two years and we're hiring.
