Green Innovations of Antennas

whitePaper | May 16, 2022

Energy saving has become one of the most discussed topics of green development. Antennas, especially passive antennas, do not directly consume DC or AC electric energy, leaving them easily overlooked when energy saving is discussed. However, as unique devices that convert between radio frequency (RF) energy and electromagnetic waves, antennas transmit the RF energy to mobile devices. The efficiency in which the antennas convert energy has a significant bearing on the power consumed by base stations

The “No-Excuse” Framework to Accelerate the Path to Net-Zero Manufacturing and Value Chains

whitePaper | January 5, 2023

While many leading companies have already started their journey towards achieving net-zero emissions – namely, cutting their greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible and balancing the remaining by removing it from the atmosphere – no single business can reach net zero by itself. Systemic collaboration across and between value chains is fundamental to aligning and upgrading corporate strategies and industrial policies, and all stakeholders – even competitors – can find mutual benefit in ensuring their industries can continue operating in the future.

Sustainable power grids

whitePaper | January 9, 2023

Stricter environmental and safety regulations, pressure to shift to green energy sources, and a retiring workforce all present significant challenges for today’s power grid operators. Transmission and distribution companies must create a more resilient, dynamic grid, capable of handling increased load and the complexity that distributed energy resources (DERs) will add. New digital tools that enable operators to collect and organize data can help transmission and distribution companies face these challenges by addressing three major imperatives.

Achieving Sustainable Data Center Growth

whitePaper | October 23, 2022

Data centers today are estimated to constitute nearly 2% of global energy consumption. The decade-old fear of runaway growth in data center energy consumption hasn’t occurred. Hyperscale cloud service providers (CSPs) have largely managed that concern, with the help of industry vendors, through IT virtualization and higher utilization of power and thermal management infrastructure. At the same time, enterprises, usually less efficient than CSPs at managing data centers, have transitioned many of their workloads and applications to the cloud.
