Policy to Enable Green Hydrogen in Ireland

August 1, 2022

Policy to Enable Green
Decarbonising the transport sector has begun with the adoption of battery electric vehicles, and
they will take us a long way to full decarbonisation. But commercial users tell us there are use cases
where battery vehicles will not be appropriate for them.
We outline policy actions that can enable hydrogen for mobility and begin to develop the wider
hydrogen ecosystem in Ireland.

Midwest Renewable Energy Association

The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) offers courses, certificates, and trainings that cover a variety of renewable energy technologies including solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, and wind. Every third weekend in June the MREA hosts the largest and longest running energy education event of its kind, The Energy Fair, June 15-17, 2018 in Custer, Wisconsin. Many of the MREA's offerings are accredited through the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) and recognized by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) for PV Entry Level Exam and Continuing Education Credits.

the future is green delivering sustainable excellence to the auto-mobility industry

whitePaper | October 7, 2022

Green transport chain management means that process optimization reduces energy and material savings. More efficiently designed logistics processes with integrated IT systems make better use of storage capacities and avoid empty runs. The goal is to use less energy, produce fewer emissions during transportation and storage, have less packaging waste, and do as few but precisely coordinated work steps as possible.

Spring 2023 Solar Industry Update

whitePaper | April 27, 2023

The median reported price by EnergySage for residential PV systems increased 6.3% y/y to $2.85/Wdc – the third straight period of increase, after never having done so before. After plunging to a 1.5-year low of $20/kg in mid-January, global polysilicon spot prices rebounded to $30/kg in mid-February and then dropped to $24/kg by mid-April.

Scaling up the American wind industry

whitePaper | January 16, 2023

With the enactment of the Inflation Reduction Act (“IRA”) in August 2022, the United States signaled its commitment to reducing emissions in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. The IRA’s reach extends across industries and, in particular, across energy technologies. Its primary achievement in the energy and climate space is the unprecedented provision of public incentives for clean energy deployment and manufacturing capacity. These incentives provide the necessary long-term certainty required by wind industry stakeholders to make large capital investments in the U.S. market, which will in turn create jobs and economic opportunities for communities across the country.

Green H2 investments from buzz to Boom

whitePaper | September 18, 2022

Decarbonising our societies and economies is arguably the biggest challenge of this century. However, large parts of industry, agriculture or sea transport cannot be decarbonised directly with green electricity. Green hydrogen is therefore key to bringing their CO2 emissions to net zero. As this view becomes increasingly established, green H2 project announcements are skyrocketing. Consequently, green hydrogen is also gaining in importance for investors.

Getting airborne – the need to realize the benefits of airborne wind energy for net zero

whitePaper | September 20, 2022

Airborne wind energy (AWE) is wind 2.0 – a game-changing solution accessing the large untapped wind resource potential at heights above those accessed by established wind technology. It enables more energy to be extracted at lower carbon intensity and eventually at lower cost. Europe and other areas in the world need to access all viable natural resources they can, and AWE, alongside established wind technology, should be considered as one of the key solutions to our energy decarbonisation challenge.
