Ørsted, Eversource officially take part in NY offshore wind tender

Denmark’s Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED) and New England utility Eversource Energy (NYSE:ES) confirmed they have submitted a joint proposal to build an offshore wind park as part of New York state’s 800-MW solicitation. Thursday was the deadline for bids in the New York State Offshore Wind Power Procurement. Ørsted and Eversource are taking part with their so-called Sunrise Wind project, proposed to be located more than 30 miles east of Montauk Point, where, the developers say, it will be virtually unnoticeable to Long Island residents.
