Engie begins construction of 276-MW wind park in Kansas

Engie North America Inc has initiated the construction of the 276-MW Solomon Forks wind farm in northwest Kansas, the company announced on Tuesday. The North American unit of French energy group Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) concluded the development of the particular project after buying it from a joint venture between Infinity Renewables and MAP Energy in February 2018. The company anticipates spending a total of USD 334 million (EUR 285m) on the project.
