Solar FlexRack ballasted system used on 3.8-MW landfill project in Massachusetts

Solar FlexRack, a division of Northern States Metals, announced that Exyte Energy (formerly M+W Energy) has selected and installed Solar FlexRack’s mounting technology in a landfill solar project in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The dedication of local utilities, Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company and Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations to work collaboratively with stakeholders ensured the 3.8-MW solar project was successfully completed. Solar FlexRack’s Series B (ballasted) Pre-Cast solar mounting technology was selected for its unique design, meeting the stringent requirements of the highly regulated landfill segment of large-scale solar installations.
