TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITISATION MARKET

November 30, 2018

Transitioning the world to a sustainable economy as envisaged by the Paris Agreement will require a USD 100 trillion investment in sustainable infrastructure over the next 15 years. This enormous investment requires critical action today for there to be any chance of limiting the global temperature rise to below 2°C, as agreed upon under the Paris Agreement. According to the IPCC, investment in sustainable energy infrastructure alone will need to be scaled up by a multiple of seven to USD 2.4 trillion per year in order to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Toward a new energy system: A holistic view of how we can shape the energy transition together

whitePaper | April 4, 2022

Energy is the beginning of everything, the basis of civilizational development and the foundation of all economic progress. To make it future proof, we need a balance of affordability, reliability, and sustainability. This includes a phase-out of coal, the expansion of renewables, the further development of H₂-capable gas power plants and grid stability services, as well as storage solutions that step in when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining. Together, these steps and technologies can ensureenergy security and make a decarbonized energy system possible.

The Energy Crisis

whitePaper | July 12, 2022

As we experience an energy crisis that is fueling inflation with severe impact on households and businesses all over Europe and forcing factories to curtail their production or even to shut down, citizens are asked to reduce their energy consumption while governments scramble to secure alternative fuel sources. These, however, are only short-term measures, and there is no doubt that this winter will prove taxing for many.

How Microgrids Contribute to the Energy Transition

whitePaper | January 20, 2023

Executive summary In the early 20th century, the centralization of electricity production made huge pro- gress, enabling significant economies of scale and improved power plant efficiency. Today, decentralization could help tackle the energy challenges of the 21st century by creating an optimized way to access reliable, green, and resilient energy. Microgrids are the emerging energy eco- system that provides practical answers through a local, interconnected energy system within clearly defined electrical boundaries, which incorporate loads, de- centralized energy resources, battery stor- age, and control capabilities

Special Report on Solar PV Global Supply Chains

whitePaper | August 25, 2022

Solar PV is a crucial pillar of clean energy transitions worldwide, underpinning efforts to reach international energy and climate goals. Over the last decade, the amount of solar PV deployed around the world has increased massively while its costs have declined drastically. Putting the world on a path to reaching net zero emissions requires solar PV to expand globally on an even greater scale, raising concerns about security of manufacturing supply for achieving such rapid growth rates – but also offering new opportunities for diversification.
