Europe powered by Green Energy

May 5, 2019

In 2017, renewable energy reached a breakthrough in Europe, when it became cheaper to install offshore wind power than to build new fossil-fuel based power plants. This is a remarkable achievement on its own. It confirms that it’s economically viable to build a European economy that runs on green energy. And this is vital if Europe is to meet its commitment in the Paris Agreement to limit global temperature increases to 2 degrees above preindustrial levels by 2100, while striving towards 1.5 degrees.

Grid-Forming Technology in Energy Systems Integration

whitePaper | March 17, 2022

As rising numbers of inverter-based resources (IBRs) are deployed in power systems around the world, their role on the grid is changing and the services needed from them have evolved. In order to maintain grid stability and reliability, IBRs need to provide some of the services currently (or formerly) provided by synchronous generators. Interconnection standards already include requirements for IBRs to have the capability to provide some of these services—such as frequency and voltage support—and the procurement and deployment of the services can be implemented either as mandatory interconnection requirements or as market products

Is your organization’s journey to net zero headed down thewrong path? Here’s the sustainability safety net to get you back on track.

whitePaper | December 11, 2022

Most companies run into significant challenges on the path to net zero. Many cannot get a handle on their current sustainability performance because it’s hard to aggregate data from a myriad of sources. Others are so overwhelmed with the financials, they freeze on their path to net zero or, worse yet, they never start. Even large businesses may struggle to make upgrades to bolster their buildings’ energy efficiency or afford expensive new equipment and smart building technology. Instead, immediate budgetary needs, like paying employee salaries and product development, take precedent.

Foundry For Renewables

whitePaper | July 31, 2022

Changes in climate and energy policy paired with shifts in supply and demand are causing disruptions to energy systems across the globe. Renewable energy generation is at the core of this transition. Investing and empowering the energy sector to sustainably optimize performance, production, and scale must become a transformational effort to innovate for the future. Data is at the heart of this revolution. Renewable power generation is highly dependent on weather and site conditions, which are everchanging, and the process outputs large-scale data that is often difficult to integrate, visualize, or leverage.
